"Life by the yard is hard. Life by the inch is a cinch." When things start to get crazy, I sometimes find myself rushing around faster, increasing the chaos. But sometimes the best thing for me to do is actually STOP. SLOW DOWN. Be present and look only at the moment right in front of me.
I want to invite you to take a minute to check in with yourself right now. How are you feeling? Are you doing ok? Are you taking care of yourself? Breathe.
Did you know, "Necessity is the mother of invention"? Constraints are good because they force us to get creative and focus on the essential. If you could only get one thing done today, what would it be?
A month or two ago, Kent and I ambitiously said, "let's record 100 podcast episodes by the end of the year!" And it's ok that we did that. But now we're slowing down and limiting the number of things we devote our attention to. (not a rare practice for us since we like to over-commit)
We've decided to let the 100 podcasts goal go. So you won't get to listen to us on the podcast every day for the rest of the year...so sorry. But we'll still show up every week. And the content will hopefully be even more valuable and relevant because we're hyper-focusing on a few feature films that are real passion projects.
And for that focus, I'm really grateful. Maybe this email is just some advice I needed to give myself right now. I hope it was helpful for you too. I hope you are taking time to do the things you really love with all your heart, even if it means making some sacrifices.
Have a great week,
Anna
