If you find yourself feeling resentful towards another person, remember that it isn't anyone else's job to meet your needs. It's both a humbling and empowering thought. You are completely capable of caring for yourself! It doesn't mean you can't gratefully accept help from others, but expecting or demanding it is unfair. When you take responsibility for meeting your own needs, then your relationships will improve as you focus on what you can give to each other instead of what you need to get from each other.
